In the region of Aït Lazza in Morocco, drinking water supply points are far from the villages; thus, inhabitants have limited access to this vital resource. A water supply project has been set up to limit the rural exodus and school dropout. This project was financed by Marocavie in partnership with the Louz association, and consists of the exploitation of two existing wells for which it was necessary to install: a water distribution network, solar panels, two submerged pumps and two water tanks.
A well is located in the village of Bougdrour, the other in the village Agni and also supplies the village Tiguemi Ouzrou. The equipment of these two wells benefited to 70 families, for a total of 376 people (including 166 children).
