As part of a major philanthropic initiative, OLVEA Foundation, through its association MarocaVie, and Nuxe jointly launched a breast cancer screening campaign in rural areas of Morocco last year. Nuxe has expressed its desire to continue this collaboration with OLVEA Foundation, through its association MarocaVie.
Since the beginning of the breast palpation pre-screening campaign in July 2024, a team of nurses and healthcare professionals has been visiting the rural areas of Sidi Ifni to examine women and identify potential cases of breast cancer. To date, 700 women have benefitted from these essential medical exams.
On June 9th, more than 170 women at risk of breast cancer were able to receive ultrasounds performed by specialized doctors. Among them, 13 were identified as high-risk and were able to undergo mammograms to refine the diagnosis. Fortunately, no cases of cancer were detected.
Through this screening campaign, OLVEA Foundation and Nuxe reaffirm their joint commitment to women's health in rural areas. Together, they contribute to reducing healthcare access inequalities and improving breast cancer prevention.
