The argan tree is an essential species to the economic and ecological balance of the region:
Its very hard wood is used in construction or as fuel, its leaves as fodder for goats and kernels for the argan oil production,
Its deep roots are an excellent barrier against desertification,
Under his shadow live a rich fauna and flora,
Thousands of people live directly or indirectly from its culture.
Marocavie is financing a reforestation and irrigation project of the Argan forest in the commune of Tinzert, in the province of Taroudant: hoeing and making of the basins of most plants, replanting, continuity of irrigation.
